Emotions...

                      I feel deeply. I am the kinda person, that will probably fall real hard and real easily when a man enters my life. So I'm gonna make sure that he's the one, before I get a chance to fall. I"m the type that is super protective of my friends and family, I am the type gets easily attached to people who mean the most, and yes! My dog! lol. But what I wanna get to, is that yes, emotions were sent by God, but they can also come from satan and they are misleading. You cannot, should not...rely just on emotions. Because that's where satan will try and get us. We need to rely on God's word, so that we know what emotions are from Him and which ones aren't. I listen with intensity to music, I soak in the words, I get emotional to the sound of beautiful music. It's a passion for me. But do I listen with such passion and intensity to God? I try to. I do  the best that I can every day. With utmost strength, I try to direct my thoughts, my heart, my whole soul to the Lord, when I'm getting emotionally entangled. That's hard. When you're such a passionate person as me, it's deffinitely hard. But it's most rewarding when I succeed. It's easy to think that all emotions are from God, and then judge or act based soley on emotions. Instead of judging or acting based on God's word. So my question for you today;

WILL WE INQUIRE OF GOD WHEN IT COMES TO EMOTIONS/FEELINGS....OR WILL WE LISTEN AND INQUIRE OF MEN...OR JUDGE AND ACT BASED ON OUR OWN JUDGEMENT OF THE EMOTIONS/FEELINGS...?

"In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD." -John 16:33

"I love you, O Lord, my strength" -Psalm 18:1

"Fight the Good fight of the Faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." -1 Timothy 6:12

At the end of my life, I want to be able to stand before God, knowing that I inquired of Him, about everything in my life. I want to be able to say these words truthfully;

"I have fought the Good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing." -2 Timothy 4:7-8

Because I do not want to stand before God at the end of my life...and be cast out, because I decided not to take heed of his word. And follow my emotions/feelings blindly not caring if they're right or not. Have a good week as you chew on my difficult words. the Lord be with you.

Brazilian Love

                  In the year 2010, I went with a group of 12 on a mission trip to Brazil. When I was there, I saw anything to the extreme poverty conditions to beautiful landscapes and love. Love is what I'm gonna talk about today. The couples in Brazil look at each other with such a love that I have not seen a lot of. A lot of people here in Canada take their spouses/soul-mates for granted! And there are a lot of divorces...so sad, when the bond of love bring two people together, only to allow satan to rip it apart. And they give up on one another without even a fight! It's deeply distressing and horrifying! Now I'm not saying Brazil is better! In fact I love Canada, I live here! The culture is just far different than that of Brazil. They too have their fair amount of trials and tribulations in marriages. But when I was there...man. What I saw was a love that you'd think only belongs in fairy tales. The way the man walks with his body in position of strength and protection. Walking arm in arm. His hand resting over hers as it sits in the crook of his elbow. The way he causes her to laugh, or the way he glides her over the dance floor. They're in their own little world of love! I learned a dance there, called the Faha. Like haha, but faha. Now, that is an intimate dance, designed for two people in love. I think it's a dance designed as an excuse for two people in love to be so intimately close that it's not noticed in public so much, because it's a dance! It's beautiful to watch. That's a dance where a little girl just dreams for her prince to come along and whisk her away over the dance floor, and treats her with such tenderness and care, and, love. Now for me to learn that dance, and to learn it with a guy I barely know, was extremely awkward! The instructor got mad at me once or twice, because of the safe distance I put between myself and my partner! My face has never been so red, as it was for those evenings! Anyway, my point is that ladies? Don't just settle for the first guy you meet, or threw yourself at any guy who will take you. God has a man planned for each of us. A man who will love us with such a love that we think should only belong in fairy tales. Most days I can't wait for him to get here! Other days, I think I have lots of time, and i just chill out knowing that he's out there waiting for me too. And that God has this all figured out. All I gotta do, is wait, and be where he wants me at the right time and in the right place. Also, ladies, when your prince gets here, and he happens to be a dancer? Wear something flowy and pretty when you dance!! Lol. I have some videos my mom took of me dancing. If anyone knew me back then...then you know that I was not wearing jeans and a decent shirt, you'd know that it was a bit more drastic than that. You wanna know what I was wearing? REALLY BAGGY SWEATS AND A T-SHIRT THAT HANG DOWN TO MY KNEES!!! I had a horrifyingly sad wardrobe back then...anyway. I'm waiting for my prince. Patiently, I'm remaining pure for the man of my dreams, whoever he may be...are you?
p.s. Ladies? Don't confine him to perfect standards, there aint a man out there who is perfect. Every man comes with faults and baggage. Mistakes turned into regrets. And you know what? We are not perfect either. If I think about me and my life, my past? I'm the most imperfect young woman out there! I come with baggage that lead to a dreadful mistake that I will forever shamefully remember. So don't hold him to perfect standards. Because you know that you aint perfect either. Set the bar high, but not too high. Make him prove to you that he's worthy of your love. That he will protect and be the leader he needs to be. But don't make your standards so high that he can't ever attain them. It will just make his life a misery of pain, and you will never be happy. I think that that is a main problem in life. Women, ladies, and gals, have to endure so much that they set the bar so high that her man can't reach it. And when he can't she's unhappy, she puts that on him. He's unhappy, and it ends ugly for both of them. Be cautious and careful, make sure you take these matters to God, so that when the right man comes, He can show you, and you can be guarented a good and Godly man. But also to be realistic with how high you put the bar, and set your standards. Thanks for your patience as I waited to be inspired to write again. Have a great week, as you bask in God's GREAT Love for you. God bless.

        "My beloved speaks and says to me, 'Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away. for behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear in the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens it's figs and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise my love, my beautiful one, and come away...'"  -Song of Solomon 2:10-13

Find you on my knees

This is a powerful song...it's moving and relateable and just makes your heart cry out for our God as we struggle on a day to day basis. I have not written in a while due to working 40 to more or less hours a week. But when my cousin shared this song with me, I was moved. I struggle so much that I'm surprised that my GOD...still loves and cherishes me. And I wanted to share this with you. What a great God we serve. Never let us forget Him and what he has done for us. Have a good week, and I promise I shall write to you soon. God Bless.

Have a good week as you bask in God's GREAT love and protection.,..for you. -lisa.
