A Picture to Dwell on as Easter Arrives!

       So as promised I am writing you a post today! I am still unsure of what I'll write. So I hope it comes to me as the idea forms. Alright so, my family and another family are going through a Revelation bible study. And we are in chapter 7 next week. But I have learned so much, that I decided to share some of what I have learned with you guys. I hope you enjoy! Revelation 5 starting in verse 1;

                "1. 'Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scrolls and break it's seals?' 3. And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look in it, 4. and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. (This is when the apostle John was on an island and the Lord was showing him these visions.)  6. And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. (the number seven is frequently used in revelation. It represents the perfect number of God, which goes all the way back to Genesis when God created the world in seven days.) 8. And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders, fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9. And they sang a new song, saying 'Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open it's seals, for you were slain, And by your blood you ransomed people for God, from every tribe and language and people and nation, 10. and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.' "

      What an amazing piece of scripture! No one could open the scroll! Until the Lamb, which is Christ, came and opened it. Now read this next scripture from Daniel 12 starting in verse 4;

       " 4. But you Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end, Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall increase. 5. Then I Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on this bank of the stream and one on that bank of the stream. 6. And someone said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, 'How long shall it be till the end of these wonders?' 7. And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream; he raised his right hand and his left hand toward the heaven and swore by him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be finished. 8. I heard, But I do not understand. Then I said, 'O my Lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?' 9. He said, 'Go your way Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the times of the end.' "

        My dad told me that when a sheep gets attacked. It just lays down on the ground and does not fight back! It lets the animal rip it apart. Literally. It willingly lays down it's life.  Now if you look at Revelation, the Lamb that was mention in verse 6, stood as though slain! The Lord Jesus Christ, the 'Precious Lamb of God' was slain for us. He willingly laid down his life for us! And when the Lord told Daniel to shut the scroll and have it sealed until the end of time, when it painted a picture of the end...no one could open the scroll!! Only the Lamb of God was WORTHY enough to break it's seals and open it! Wow! What an amazing Lord we have!  And as God and Jesus are one, really the only being capable of opening the scroll was God Almighty Himself. Simply amazing. I hope this makes sense. I hope you have seen what I have seen and understand the meaning. There are many things to look at in these passages, but the one thing I wanted you to see was the wonder of our Lord. That the holy scroll, can only be opened by someone who is worthy...we are not worthy! We are not even close to being worthy. Only our Lord is worthy. And it's because of what He has done for us that we are considered righteous, and it is only through Him that we are made Holy. Have a great weekend, as you bask in the love of our most Worthy Lord!

Whisper

                          Like a whisper; the world can change, like a whisper, the soul can die. Like the whisper of the sudden wind, the day can take a turn for the worse. Life is a hard one to live-to survive. But in the same way, with the mighty whisper of God's voice in us....life is bearable. It's not nearly so hard. We are able to survive, because of His mighty power...and His 'indestructible life.' (-Hebrews 7:16) Too many people have baggage in this world. It's even hard to be in a relationship. Now a days, you have to be certain and careful that if you enter a relationship that you're going to make it. A friend of mine said something a while ago that made a very true dawning upon me. People now a days just wanna be friends. No one is really looking for a soul mate anymore! How TRAGIC! Marriage used to be the moment that men and women were excitedly waiting for! It was a fun experience, with the love of your life that you couldn't wait to start. Now...people don't trust one another beyond the point of friendship. Don't let the evil and wickedness of this world, cause you to draw away from what you used to want. Hm...I look at me, and my life. I used to want to get married, in fact, I wanted to be married by the time I was 21. And to just be a wife and mother. But then my life took a cruel turn, and now, guess what? I'm independent, headstrong, and want nothing to do with marriage. But is that any way to live? The whisper of this world tries to keep us from following God and our hearts. We make our self believe that our heart wants something different. We tell ourselves lies to comfort ourselves...we cannot live that way. We are slowly killing ourselves. We need to listen to the whisper of God, we need to watch for what he tell us, not what the world tells us. The world is a battlefield. We can either fight with the Lord, or we can fight with Satan. It's hard to take arms with good. Because it always seems like there is so much more bad than good. And the reality is, it's true. There is more evil deeds and non believers, than righteous deeds and believers. But good always comes out victorious! ALWAYS! We should never feel hopeless when we look at the numbers. Because really, though the world is sometimes a scary place to live, good always out numbers the bad. Even if it seems like the evil is outnumbering us. We will always win, the bad will never even come close to winning. Never ever. So with that, I have just one question for you...Whose Whisper Are You Listening To?

           "I will never leave you, nor forsake you. So WE can confidently say, The LORD is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?" --Hebrews 13:5-6

 Just listen to the sweet sound of His whispers...

           "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let us be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."  --1 Corinthians 10:13
