Faith

                                        What is Faith? Faith, can be a hard concept to understand. What does it mean to have faith? Why do people, especially Christians...talk about faith a lot? Faith for me is to undyingly trust the Almighty Creator. To commit to Him, to live for Him, to work for Him. He's the ultimate boss. The one who loves and cares for us, but also punishes us when need it. Some people think that God is mean, that He hates us. That He wants nothing to do with us. Especially with those of us who come with some, or a lot of...baggage. I'm gonna use an example of someone that I know. We had a great discussion early this afternoon, about why God allows us to go through some of the harm in this dark world. This person grew up in a sad situation. It breaks my heart to hear his/her past. This person's life was very sad and filled with abuse. Now, why would a God of love put us through that? Look at a another situation. If we grew upin a, in our minds, a "perfect family."  We had everything we needed and wanted, a stable home life. Everyone always got along...would you want to turn away from that? Would you turn to God? Not likely! Now if you grew up in the situation, that my friend did...would you in an instant turn away if you got  the chance? If God called you? It is more likely to happen, isn't it? God allows things to happen to us for the good of the future! To change our mindset for the generations to come. To finally turn to Him. To have...FAITH. As a kid in that kind of a homelife, you would consciously make the decision to be different. To make sure that your kids would not have to go through that kind of pain, abuse and lonliness you felt day and night! Faith is to turn away from your current situation, whether good or bad, and to trust and believe that God will take care of you. That He will sustain you....it's a big commitment to have faith.
